MathType & ChemType

MathType and ChemType are new features in Moodle that allow you to enter mathematical equations (through MathType) and chemical formulas (through ChemType) in any text box that includes the formatting tool.

You can add the MathType & ChemType in the text box in assignments, quiz questions, and communications between the students and the instructors, as illustrated below:

Once you click on the MathType icon, you will be able to select and enter mathematical notations and equations in a user-friendly way, as needed, and as illustrated below:

Similarly, once you click on the ChemType icon, you will be able to select and enter chemical notations and formulas through a customized toolbar in a user-friendly way, as needed, and as illustrated below:
