Blank screen in LockDown Browser

This issue is caused by: poor internet connection or an extra monitor.

If your computer or network maybe blocking the access. The best thing to do here is to:

  1. Disable the firewall by clicking on the Windows key, search for “firewall & network protection”, click on any active firewalls and turn it off.
  2. Disable the anti-virus by locating its icon in the notification area on the taskbar, right-click the icon and choose the option to disable or exit the program.
  3. If this doesn’t work, force quit the LockDown Browser. If this doesn’t work, click and hold the power button of your device for about five seconds to shut it down and then turn it on again. You can force quit the browsers by clicking on the Crtl+Shift+Esc buttons on the keyboard (at the same time). This will open the Task Manager, click on LockDown Browser and click on End Task.
  4. The last option you have in this case is to connect to a different internet connection.

If your connection to the Moodle may have been broken. In this case, leaving the exam (or force quit the browser), restart the router and then re-enter the exam.

If you have multiple monitors hooked up. Disconnect the additional monitors and open LockDown Browser up in the main monitor.
