What is the Network Account?

The Network Account is an authorized Username to login to Windows in any computer at AU. Using the Network Account will give access to AU Network resources such as the internet, intranet, Network, and wireless.

What is the Network User Name for the student?

By default, the Network student User Name is the student ID.

What is the password policy for the Network Account?

The password expires every 90 days and must include a minimum of 8 characters, mix between letters and numbers. In addition, when changing or resetting the password, the newly entered password should not have been used previously by the same user.

How does the student request his/her Network Account information (User Name and Password)?

All the Login Accounts will be created for the freshmen students and shared with them via email or text message.

Should the student request the Network Account and password at the beginning of each semester?

No, the Login Account remains the same until the student graduates and the password also remains the same unless the student resets it.

What should the student do if he/she forgets the password?

In order to reset the password, follow the below procedure:

  • Make sure that your active mobile number is correct in the Office of Registration (since the SMS will be sent directly to that number)
  • Pay the fees of resetting the password at the office of finance
  • SMS will be sent to the student's mobile with the new password

Note: This password is case sensitive and cannot be changed outside the AU campus.
